ICS Industries are always researching and developing new products and methods for the construction and fit-out of Telecommunications Shelters. ICS work with existing Telecommunications companies and Engineers to ensure they are abreast of new technologies and have developed many new innovations for the industry over the years. Some of the options currently available include:

| Galvanised Steel Baseframe | The most common Shelter ICS supply is one with a Hot-dipped Galvanised Steel baseframe. The main advantage with the steel baseframe is the strength:weight ratio. Overall the Steel baseframe makes for a lighter shelter for freighting and manoeuvring into location making them especially ideal for rooftop installations where they are anchored into location. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Kit-form shelters | ICS are currently developing a range of collapsible kit-form shelters. These will be ideal for transporting into extremely difficult to access locations where they can be set onto their foundations and quickly deployed. More information coming soon. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Ballistic Rating | ICS have developed a range of Ballistic rated Shelters to help protect the valuable internal equipment against vandalism, often required in Rural and Remote locations. The most common requests are for the Australian Standards, S1 & G2, however ICS can design & construct a shelter to any Ballistic Standard.

| Cyclone Rating | ICS design and construct shelters to comply with the local cyclone legislative requirements. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Fire Rating | ICS design and construct shelters with varying fire ratings, typically one-hour burn and two-hour burn. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Passive Cooled | ICS have designed and built a range of Passive Cooled shelters for a range of different projects, options include:

| External Finish | Bearing in mind the importance of our environment ICS provide a range of standard external finishes to help blend the Shelter in with its surroundings, whilst ensuring the integrity of the Shelter is not compromised. Common options include:

The internal layout and fit-out of the Telecommunications Shelter is immensely important and best results can be achieved by doing as much as possible on the factory floor at the time of Shelter construction. At ICS we have a team of Technicians and Electricians that are highly skilled in this area and can fit out your Shelter in a layout that is individually tailored to your project or inline with a standard layout that we typically construct.
Whilst ICS utilise many standard off-the-shelf products in the fit-out of the Shelters from manufacturers such as, Clipsal, HPM, Unistrut, Eltek and Erico to name a few, we have also designed and manufactured many products uniquely for our industry. Over the years our specialist in-house "LENMIC" products have enabled ICS to be uncompromising in our pursuit towards the most efficient and effective Shelter solution for our customers. At ICS we have a simple philosophy;
"Never compromise the Shelter design to fit in with what products are available, design and build better products to support the best possible Shelter solution".ICS was approached to develop a fully equipped transportable Telecommunications Shelter often referred to as a "Quikcell" or a "COW" to support the Telstra 3G network and be suitable for transport throughout Australia, including the lower quality "
The result was a fully operational 3rd generation mobile phone cell on wheels. Complete with 12.6m pneumatic mast, and short set time of approximately one hour. The unit is on a dual-wheelbase and can be towed by a large 4-wheel drive vehicle like a Landcruiser or above.
There are many of the ICS COWs deployed throughout Australia as they're ideal for special events and emergency relief situations. ICS are committed to further developing transportable Cells and are able to tailor a Quikcell to your requirements.
The high-tech and expensive equipment housed by the Shelter has to continue to work 24/7 in order to provide reliable service for both the Telecommunications company and their customers. In order to achieve this internal temperature management is more critical today than it's ever been. Under the LENMIC brand we have developed our own Temperature Control Panels that monitor the internal temperature and then at pre-programmed measurements will activate, de-activate and cycle the cooling fans and air-conditioners so as to maintain the internal temperature within pre-determined parameters. In the event of an air-conditioner fail or overtly high temperature reading our Control Panels have monitoring and voltage-free contacts for activating back-to-Telco alarming so that a maintenance crew can be alerted to go onsite and check.
LENMIC Temperature Control Panels are available as individual stand alone units or incorportated into our LENMIC Power Distribution Boards which saves valuable internal space.
